’92 Corvette

As you may know Wilson Performance working to build a road racing team is going to hold a pre-season meeting.  We are looking for enthusiastic people to work in the shop and at the track.  My car is a 92 corvette that we are switching to a fuel injected motor.  (The motor is not in the car)

 

 

 

The objective of this meeting is to:

  • Meet everyone
  • Talk about each of our skills we bring to the table
  • Talk about schedules for races and work days at the shop
  • Show everyone the car and what needs to be done to get ready for the season
  • Answer any questions anyone has

I will provide some beverages (Non alcoholic)

The meeting will be Held at Wilson Performance, 3910 Buffalo Rd. Rochester, NY 14624 on Monday March 25th at 6:00PM.  I anticipate it taking between an Hour and hour and a half. If you know of anyone who is interested please bring them along

If you are attending for sure please let me know so I know how many to plan for.

Tom is a good friend and customer at Wilson Performance.  I was just informed that Tom’s Vintage Datsun 240Z has been turned into a new Hot Wheels car.

Here is more information from John Taddonio from the  Z Car Club of Rochester.

“Hey All!  Here’s some very exciting news about ZCCR’s Tom Bork and his historic 1969 Datsun 240Z HLS30-00008!
Tom’s 240Z, the 8th ever produced, an original factory show car and historic race car has been reproduced as part of Mattel’s 2013 Hot Wheels Showroom “Asphalt Assault” lineup that hits international retail shelves later this month!
The new miniature was a result of collaboration between Tom’s Doc B Racing, Mattel’s Hot Wheels Division, Nissan, and Bork’s sponsors: Eibach, Koni, Torco Motor Oil and Toyo Tires, all of whom have decals on the race car that were replicated on the Hot Wheels version.
Tom and his son Adam are avid collectors of Hot Wheels, and it occurred to Tom last year that the body lines of an existing Hot Wheels car bore a remarkable resemblance to his race car, thinking “wouldn’t it be cool if my race car was made into a Hot Wheels too?”  He shared this notion on a Hot Wheels discussion forum and a Mattel employee took the idea to the decision makers at Hot Wheels.  Hot Wheels was quick to celebrate the heritage of the Datsun 240Z, a vintage sports car, and Bork’s serial number eight car in particular, with its years of racing history, including a first place overall at the 1997 Watkins Glen U.S. Vintage Grand Prix Enduro with Bork at the wheel!
“I’m honored to have my race car as part of the Hot Wheels lineup and to hopefully bring more attention to the vintage racing series too.  Nissan (Datsun) built a great car, and I’m proud of its racing history as well as excited about its future in racing and with Hot Wheels,” Bork said.
The Hot Wheels car is an exact replica of the real car, right down to the decals and Tom’s name on the roof!  Look for it at stores nationwide.  Tom will have the real car, and several of the Hot Wheels counterparts, at our annual car show on July 13.
